with approximately five weeks to go until thomas is born, i now have to deal with high blood pressure. its always been fine, but saturday night i was in the hospital for about 4 hours cause it was high. it wasn't fun. i went semi-blind at six-thirty and by the time Rob got home at 8, i was vomitting and having a hard time breathing. so, off to the hospital we went. hooked me up to all sorts of machinery and even got to listen to thomas' heartbeat the entire time. when he wasn't kicking the machine that is. he doesn't like the invasion of privacy it seems the monitors bring. thats my boy!
had my baby shower yesterday at church. got all sorts of cute little outfits and some diapers. even blankets and a bouncer that transitions to a toddler sized rocking chair. i love it!!! now i can hunker down and figure out all that i have left to purchase in the next month. just little things, like baby first aid kit, and the mattress for my crib and of course the breast pump. rob's mom is getting us the car seat here in the next couple weeks and i am gonna use her sam's club membership to stockpile diapers, wipes and diaper genie refills. not to mention the flea market in mobile, where we can buy used play-yards or high chairs for a lot cheaper than norm.
i can't wait to have this baby!
