Tiny hands start reaching,
Grabbing this and that
Tiny feet start walking
Stepping here and there
Taking you further from me
I take a moment late at night
As the day's madness ebbs away
Watch you sleep so soundly
My heart forever breaking
Knowing you’ll leave one day
I steal a kiss in silence
Am rewarded with your sigh
Tomorrow, son I promise
We’ll rock together
And I will sing you off to sleep
Stolen moments together,
A rare and precious jewel
Time moves by so quickly
Before I know it you’ll be grown
Once again, my heart will break
