Chivalry, my friends, is not dead

true story...

i was taking thomas to the mall yesterday and stopped at a gas station to put air in the strollers tires. it takes me about two minutes to wrestle the thing out of my trunk.

once its out, i take off all the tire tabbie things that keep the air from escaping and start filling the tires with air.

just as i am finishing filling up the last tire and putting the tire tabbies back on, i hear someone ask me if i needed any help. "no thanks" i tell him "im nearly done here.

the guy gets off his bike (the kind you peddle) and helps me fold up and put the stroller back in the trunk. he then jumps back on the bike and rides off, telling me to "have a blessed day".

when i sat down in my car, i looked out the rearview mirror to make sure i wouldnt hit him and he was gone. i looked around, wondering if perhaps he was an angel or something, when i saw him already across the street, heading towards Fryes...

it seems that there are still a few genually nice people in the world.

and that thought, my dear friends, gives me hope for the future
